I was supposed to be a designer. In 2008 I got over it and started writing ads at Contrapunto. Wunderman, DDB and Revolution followed, along with briefs for Movistar, Volkswagen, BBVA, Subaru, Burger King and Rodilla.
At Ideas desde Cero I went from senior to creative director, mostly by refusing to go away. That’s where I learned that a company convention can be a festival, a secret base or a space camp, that nobody has ever missed a PowerPoint, and that you can, in fact, farm prawns in Toledo.
Then came Exa Futures, an agency in Milan, where we got by in several languages at once to promote art documentaries and Lavazza’s projects. And four years in Digital Sales for BBVA, between Shackleton and Accenture Song. Turns out you can write about a card reader, an online account or an international transfer, in a push notification or a customer journey with no end in sight. And have a good time doing it.
These days I’m a Senior Creative Copywriter at VML, on the shopper and experiential team, working on Coca-Cola, Fanta, Powerade and VELO. So my ideas aren’t just something you watch any more. You can touch them, play with them, walk right through them… or bump into them in the yoghurt aisle.
The rest, with dates, is on LinkedIn.
